BIOGRAPHY - Hideki Saijo

Hideki Saijo was born in the Hiroshima prefecture on April 13th 1955. With the hit song “Koisuru Kisetsu” he made his musical debut on March 25th 1972. He continued his success with his second top10 hit “Jonetsu No Arashi”. Soon after, Hideki’s 6th single from his debut album “Chigireta Ai” shot to No.1 on the Japanese hit charts. He became known as one of the “NEW Big Three” and established himself as a top music idol in Japan. Hideki also earned national fame as an actor on TV shows, movies and commercials receiving many awards & music prizes.

Hideki Saijo is best known for his tireless work ethic, having performed 70 shows in 1 year, and his chart topping hits like “Kizudarake No Lola”, “Boomerang Street”, “Blue Sky Blue”, “Young Man (Y.M.C.A)” and “Gyarandu”.

He is now celebrating his 60th Birthday (Kanreki) with a greatest hits album –KODOU-!
